Captain Ed Folsom has been a pilot for United Airlines since 1989, currently as a Los Angeles-based Boeing 767 Captain. Ed is the former Chairman of the UAL MEC Security Committee, and former Chairman of the Airline Pilots Association (ALPA) Security Council, which represented the interests of 40 airlines and 60,000 pilots. Ed is still flying the line, continues to work on security projects for United, and is an officer of a security technology start-up, called Agile Guard LLC.

Ed is a 1980 graduate of the US Air Force Academy, 10 year veteran of active duty and retired Lt. Colonel in the USAFR. His military flying experience includes OV-10 Broncos, A-10 Warthogs and MH-60G Pavehawks.

Ed lives in San Diego with his wife and three children.
